Optimizing Product Feed Image Quality

Google recommends that images in product feeds be approximately 1500 × 1500 px to ensure maximum visibility and appeal in Google Shopping and free listings. While the minimum requirements remain lower, high visual quality is becoming the standard.

What does this mean for you?

  • Impact on Conversions: higher-quality images increase the appeal of products and can boost CTR.
  • Strategic Planning: updating visual assets should be incorporated into e-commerce roadmaps and feed management strategies.
  • Quality Standardization: companies still using images below 1000 px risk lower visibility and reduced campaign effectiveness.

Strengthening Account Security with Passkeys

Google is introducing support for passkeys in Google Ads – a passwordless login method resistant to phishing. This new feature is designed to enhance the security of advertising accounts and will be required for more sensitive actions, such as managing user access or updating account links.

Passkeys use device-based authentication (e.g., biometrics or a PIN), eliminating the need to enter a password and reducing the risk of account takeover.

What does this mean for you?

  • Strategic Security: advertising accounts become more resistant to takeovers, which is critical when managing large budgets and teams.
  • Scaling Structures: organizations with multiple users should implement passkeys to ensure consistent security and compliance with Google’s requirements.
  • Preparing for Change: it is expected that Google will gradually expand the requirement for strong authentication for key operations.
