ATK Store began cooperating with the Delante agency in September 2019. Initially the store ran on the PrestaShop platform, which at that time seemed a reasonable choice due to its popularity and the large number of ready-made modules supporting online sales.
Over time, however, this environment became increasingly unstable and began to limit the store’s growth. Modules were not being updated, which caused technical issues, and every major update carried a high risk of failure. In practice, this meant that many SEO actions could not be implemented in full, and the site’s development was slowed down by technological limitations.
At the start of the cooperation the store was visible for only a few hundred keywords. Many of them ranked outside the TOP 50 and generated no traffic. Our goal was to increase that number and improve positions for keywords that had the greatest sales potential. We aimed for keywords related to the store’s offering to steadily move into the TOP 10 and TOP 3, because those are the queries that drive the most traffic and real revenue.
Increasing search visibility was only the beginning; it needed to translate into a real increase in users and sales. Migrating to WordPress was also intended to boost the store’s conversion potential.
The biggest strategic challenge was the need to migrate the store from the outdated and risky PrestaShop platform to modern WordPress (WooCommerce). A poorly executed migration could undo all prior work and lead to a catastrophic loss of visibility and revenue. Therefore, our aim was not only to “move the store” but to treat the migration as a strategic SEO operation.
When ATK Store became a Delante client, the biggest limitation was a low SEO budget – 2000 PLN per month. We began from the ground up and had to make the most of the available resources. Initially visibility was small – the site appeared in Google’s index for about a few hundred keywords, and their positions did not generate real traffic.
The second problem was the PrestaShop platform. Its outdated modules slowed development, and every update involved a high risk of the store “breaking”. This blocked the implementation of SEO recommendations, so the only long-term solution was to migrate to a more flexible platform.
For ATK Store it was extremely important to ensure effective collaboration between all parties – our SEO team, the business owner and the developer. Thanks to clear communication and phased implementation of changes, we were able to avoid technical problems and focus on consistently executing the SEO strategy. As a result, the site’s visibility in search engines increased noticeably.
In 2023 we planned and actively supervised the entire migration process. Our task was to ensure a smooth transition, create a 301 redirect map, transfer SEO value and minimize the risk of visibility drops.
We worked closely with the client’s developers, providing recommendations for speed optimization, site structure and implementing key technical SEO elements on the new platform.
After the migration we focused on further optimization of content, meta tags, heading structure and internal linking to fully leverage the capabilities of the new system.
At the same time we conducted consistent link-building activities to build the domain’s authority and trust in the eyes of search engines.
We developed an effective collaboration model in which the client, as an expert in their industry, provided unique texts and our team took care of their full SEO optimization.
The implemented strategy brought concrete, measurable results that are directly reflected in the most important business metrics.
In September 2019, when we began cooperation, ATK Store was visible in Google’s TOP 50 for only about 107 keywords. Over the first years, despite the platform’s limitations, we steadily increased this number.
However, the real explosion occurred after the migration in 2023. The chart below perfectly illustrates this process: a slow, organic increase on the old platform and a vertical spike in visibility right after the new, fully optimized store was launched.
In SEO, quantity of keywords is not the only thing that matters; quality and rankings are crucial. We moved ATK Store’s visibility from distant pages of search results to the very front.
An excellent example is the highly competitive and transactional keyword “pawilony ogrodowe”. Achieving and maintaining a stable TOP 3 ranking for such a query means capturing a large share of the market and reaching customers at the final stage of the buying journey.
The ultimate measure of SEO effectiveness is business results. Organic traffic increasingly translated into sales. The revenue dynamics best illustrate this – in November 2024 revenues were 47.2% higher compared to November 2023. This increase resulted both from higher organic traffic and improved conversion rate after the migration.
The ATK Store case study confirms that classic SEO combined with the right platform can deliver spectacular effects. Migration to WordPress removed technological barriers, and consistent optimization and link building translated into better visibility and real financial results.
Result? A 360% year-on-year increase in revenue and a stable position for the store in organic search results.
