Search is changing. Not just SEO. Not just Ads. At Google I/O 2025, statements were made that confirm what we at Delante have been saying for months: AI is already shaping who shows up in the results – and who gets noticed by your potential customers – even before they click anything.
We’re where Search is evolving. We test. We consult. We guide our clients on how to move from mere visibility to meaningful presence in AI-powered answers. And today, we’re sharing key insights from Google I/O 2025, which took place on May 20–21.
“Google Search is evolving from a place where you find information to a place that helps you do things.”
– Liz Reid, VP, Head of Search at Google
This isn’t just a catchy phrase – it’s a fundamental shift in how Search works. Here are some of the core announcements:
Google Search no longer just gives you one answer. It engages in a conversation. It asks follow-up questions. It personalizes. And when you need a deeper dive, you can activate Deep Search. This new AI Mode is powered by a specialized version of Gemini 2.0, and is currently being rolled out in the U.S.
Interesting fact: It’s expected to work cross-lingually – you can ask in Italian and get an answer in English, or vice versa. Also, real-time translation is already available in Google Meet.
A new section in Search where you don’t have to search – Google AI simply offers curated results based on reviews, sources, and availability. It’s your new shopping partner that helps you find the perfect product. You can even upload a photo to see how an outfit looks on you… and yes, AI can even make the purchase for you.
As quoted at I/O: “Users shouldn’t have to click ten links to figure out what to buy.”
AI recognizes objects in photos and instantly adds context: what it is, where to buy it, and what the alternatives are. It works in real time – you can record a video and ask questions on the fly. Note: this product is still in the experimental stage. Project Astra is also being developed in collaboration with the blind and low-vision community to offer strong accessibility support.
These are just a few of the updates. To dive deeper into the announcements, check out these official Google sources:
For the past two years, we’ve been preparing our clients for the rise of AI Search. Today, 87% of our projects are already visible in AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.

And here’s a video from Google showing what the new AI Mode can do, straight from the Google I/O 2025 stage.
And what are the key takeaways from the Google I/O 2025 conference according to Agnieszka, our Marketing Manager?
Google I/O 2025 makes it clear: the development of AI models is accelerating rapidly and increasingly replacing traditional tools, redefining how we interact with technology. This is the future—one that blurs the lines between the physical and digital worlds even further.
Although many of these solutions are not yet available in Poland, it’s only a matter of time. That’s why it’s worth factoring them into your strategies today, especially if you want to stay competitive. On the other hand, there’s good news too—we still have a moment to observe how these trends play out in the U.S. market, giving us the opportunity to implement them in Poland and across Europe in a more thoughtful and effective way.
