Challenge

  • Giacomo Conti is a strong Polish menswear brand with nationwide retail presence and high local relevance in suits, formalwear, wedding outfits, coats, and smart casual fashion.
  • The brand was known in its market, but AI tools were not consistently recommending it in commercial prompts
  • Before the project, Giacomo Conti appeared in around 51% of the monitored AI prompts, while competitors were often mentioned first in answers related to suits, wedding styling, menswear, and local store searches.
  • The goal was to increase AI visibility where it could influence purchase decisions: seasonal shopping, prom suits, wedding outfits, men’s coats, and city-based store recommendations.

Solution

  • We built an AI Search Optimization strategy around real buying moments.
  • The work focused on seasonal demand, external authority, and local AI visibility. We created and strengthened mentions on relevant, citable domains, then expanded the strategy into local store queries after seeing that AI tools often recommended physical stores when users asked where to buy a suit.
  • After 6 months, Giacomo Conti increased visibility in monitored AI prompts from 51% to 85%, grew Brand Score in ChatGPT from 10-25% to 73%, and increased cited URLs from 20 to 80.

About client

Logo Giacomo Conti

Giacomo Conti is a Polish menswear brand operating in the formalwear and smart casual category. Its offer includes suits, tuxedos, shirts, coats, jackets, trousers, shoes, and accessories, with product lines covering business, casual, and wedding wear.

The brand combines e-commerce with a network of physical stores across Poland. This omnichannel model is especially important in menswear, where the purchase journey often includes advice, fitting, tailoring adjustments, and a local store visit before the final decision.

For AI Search Optimization, this created a clear opportunity: Giacomo Conti did not only need to appear as a brand. It also needed to appear as a place to buy, try on, and choose formalwear locally.

Why AI Search mattered for this project?

Buying a suit is rarely a simple product search.

Users ask for recommendations, comparisons, styling advice, seasonal ideas, and local store suggestions. They want to know what to wear, where to buy it, which style fits the occasion, and whether there is a store nearby.

That means AI tools can influence several stages of the buying journey:

1 Early inspiration  “best Christmas gifts for men”2 Product discovery  “best men’s coats”3 Occasion-based research  “what suit should I wear to prom”4 Local buying intent  “best suit stores in Kraków”5Wedding season planning  “where to buy a wedding suit”

For a brand like Giacomo Conti, AI visibility is not just about being mentioned. It is about being recommended when the user is already close to a purchase decision.

Month 0: Understanding where the brand was visible and where it was missing

The project started with an AI visibility diagnosis.

We checked where Giacomo Conti already appeared in AI-generated answers and where the brand was missing. We looked at different prompt groups, including:

Prompt groups analyzedmenswear recommendationssuit-related querieswedding outfit queriesprom outfit queriesseasonal shopping querieslocal store queries

The diagnosis showed that the brand had a strong market position, but that strength was not fully reflected in AI-generated answers. In other words, Giacomo Conti had real-world relevance, but AI models were not consistently turning that relevance into recommendations.

That became the starting point of the strategy.

First 3 months: seasonal visibility first

The first 3 months focused on two priorities.

The project started in the second half of the year, which meant the first commercial opportunities were Christmas, winter clothing, and then prom season. Instead of starting with a broad brand visibility campaign, we focused on search moments that were already building demand.

Example AI prompts“Best Christmas gifts for men”“Best men’s coats”“What suit should I wear to prom?”

This helped the brand start appearing in AI monitoring for seasonal prompts, where users were looking for inspiration and recommendations.

What we learned after the first 3 months

The first results showed that AI visibility could grow when the brand was connected to a specific buying context.

Seasonal prompts worked because they were tied to real user intent. Users were not asking for a generic menswear brand. They were asking for a gift idea, a coat recommendation, or a prom outfit.

That insight changed how we approached the next phase.

As visibility improved, source selection became more important. At the beginning, there was more flexibility in choosing publication placements. But once the brand started competing for stronger AI visibility, we needed stricter domain research.

We started prioritizing external sources that were:

  • closely related to the topic
  • authoritative in their category
  • likely to be cited or referenced
  • aligned with a specific product or seasonal context
  • strong enough to support AI-generated recommendations

The project moved from “getting more mentions” to earning the right mentions in the right places.

The turning point: AI was recommending stores, not just brands

As the project developed, we noticed a major local search opportunity.

When users asked AI tools about buying suits, the answers often became location-based. AI models were not only recommending brands. They were also suggesting specific stores, showrooms, and places to buy a suit in a given city.

That insight changed the direction of the project.

Giacomo Conti had the offline footprint to compete in local AI recommendations. The missing piece was making that local presence easier for AI tools to understand, trust, and reference.

So we expanded the strategy into Local AISOWe introduced broader monitoring for local prompts and optimized the assets that could influence local AI visibility, including:
store pageslocal page contentFAQsGoogle review integrationGoogle Business Profile recommendationsBing Places recommendationscity-level query monitoring

The goal was to make Giacomo Conti visible not only as a menswear brand, but also as a relevant local destination for users looking to buy a suit.

Month 6: from broad AI visibility to local and seasonal AI visibility

After 6 months, the strategy had evolved.

We were no longer optimizing only for broad menswear prompts. The project became more precise, more seasonal, and more local.
The strongest impact came from three areas1 External publicationsAI Authority Link Building helped connect Giacomo Conti with relevant seasonal and product-led topics. External mentions supported visibility for queries related to gifts, coats, prom suits and later wedding season.2 Local optimizationLocal AISO became one of the highest-potential areas. By improving store pages, local content, FAQs and business profile recommendations, we helped the brand become more visible in city-based AI answers.AI tools increasingly referenced both store pages and Google Business Profile data when answering local shopping questions.3Blog refresh processThe blog became an additional asset for building topical relevance. Refreshing and improving existing content helped support AI visibility in prompts where users were looking for advice, styling ideas, seasonal inspiration or occasion-based outfit guidance.85%of the monitored prompts featured Giacomo Conti by the end of the 6-month period.

What we did
1 AI visibility analysisWe started by checking where Giacomo Conti appeared in AI-generated answers and where competitors were being recommended instead. This gave us a clear view of opportunity areas, especially seasonal fashion queries, occasion-based searches, and local suit-buying prompts.2 Seasonal AI Authority Link BuildingBecause the project started in the second half of the year, the first activities were aligned with seasonal demand. We built external mentions around Christmas gifting, men’s coats, and prom suits. These topics were not random. They matched real user intent and the client’s priorities at that time of year.3 More selective source researchAs AI visibility improved, we became more restrictive in selecting external domains. For competitive prompts, being mentioned on any website was not enough. The source had to be relevant, authoritative, and likely to be trusted or cited.4 Local AISO monitoringWe noticed that AI tools often responded to suit-buying questions with local recommendations. That changed the direction of the project. We expanded monitoring to include local queries and started tracking how Giacomo Conti appeared in city-based AI answers.5 Store page optimizationTo strengthen local AI visibility, we optimized store pages. The work included content improvements, FAQ sections, review integration from Google, and recommendations for local business profiles.6 Google Business Profile and Bing Places recommendationsBecause AI tools often use local business data when generating recommendations, we prepared recommendations for Google Business Profiles and Bing Places. The goal was to make each store easier to understand, trust, and reference in local AI-driven answers.7Blog refresh processWe also worked on refreshing blog content to support broader topical authority. For a fashion brand, blog content can support AI visibility when users ask for advice, styling recommendations, seasonal ideas, or occasion-specific outfit guidance.

Our collaboration with the Giacomo Conti brand is a prime example of a true business partnership. Current focus and next steps

The project continues to follow seasonal demand.

Current focus

The current focus is wedding season, one of the most commercially important periods for a menswear brand. We are continuing external publications connected with wedding suits, formalwear, and occasion-based styling.

Next opportunity

The next opportunity is a broader blog strategy. A stronger content plan would help Giacomo Conti build topical authority around suits, wedding fashion, formalwear, prom outfits, business style, and smart casual menswear.

The Power of Local AISO in Retail

For retail and fashion brands, AI visibility depends on how well the brand is connected to real buying moments: seasonality, product discovery, advice-led searches, and local intent.

Giacomo Conti already had strong market relevance in Poland. The challenge was making that relevance visible and citable in AI-generated answers. The project started with seasonal opportunities, then evolved into Local AISO after we noticed that AI tools were recommending physical stores for suit-buying queries. That insight changed the strategy and helped us focus on the areas with the highest commercial value.

For brands with both e-commerce and physical locations, the key takeaway is simple: AI search may recommend not only products and brands, but also places. If store pages, reviews, FAQs, and business profiles are not optimized, a brand can lose visibility exactly when users are ready to buy.
