Agent Accessibility Score

Agent Accessibility Score is a metric that shows what percentage of an e-commerce store’s offer is technically accessible, understandable, and usable by AI agents. It indicates whether AI systems can find products, correctly interpret their data, compare them with other offers, and use them in recommendations or purchasing processes.

The score can be expressed on a scale from 0 to 100% and calculated as the share of products that meet defined AI-agent accessibility criteria within the entire analyzed product range.

Agent Accessibility Score = number of products accessible and usable by AI agents / total number of analyzed products × 100%

A high score means that a significant part of the product catalog is available in a form that AI agents can find, understand, and use. A low score may indicate incomplete product data, technical errors, inconsistent information, or barriers that prevent AI systems from accessing the offer.

What Does Agent Accessibility Score Measure?

The assessment may include:

  • whether product pages can be crawled and read,
  • whether products are included in an up-to-date product feed,
  • the completeness of product names, descriptions, and attributes,
  • correct price, currency, and availability data,
  • consistency between the website, feeds, and external platforms,
  • implementation of Product and Offer structured data,
  • availability of information about variants, shipping, returns, and warranties,
  • clear connections between the product, brand, and category,
  • the store’s technical readiness for AI-agent interactions and transactions.

Why Is Agent Accessibility Score Important?

In traditional e-commerce, product visibility was mainly measured through rankings, impressions, clicks, and website traffic. In Agentic Commerce, part of the customer journey may be handled by an AI system that independently searches for, analyzes, and compares offers.

A product whose data cannot be accessed or correctly interpreted by an AI agent may be excluded from the comparison, even if it offers a competitive price and matches the customer’s needs.

Agent Accessibility Score therefore answers the question:

What percentage of the store’s offer can be found, understood, and used by an AI agent when recommending or purchasing products?

Agent Accessibility Score vs. AI Visibility Score

Agent Accessibility Score does not show how often a brand is recommended by AI systems. It measures an earlier stage of the process: whether the offer is technically and informationally available to them.

  • Agent Accessibility Score shows whether an agent can access a product and use its data.
  • AI Visibility Score shows whether the brand or product actually appears in AI-generated answers and recommendations.
  • Recommendation Share measures how often a product is recommended compared with competing offers.
  • Selection Share shows how often it is chosen as the preferred option.

A high Agent Accessibility Score does not guarantee a recommendation, but it is one of the basic conditions for a product to participate in Agentic Commerce processes.

Example

An online store offers 10,000 products. An audit shows that 7,500 of them:

  • are included in an up-to-date product feed,
  • contain complete and consistent data,
  • provide correct price and availability information,
  • can be accessed by AI systems,
  • meet the adopted technical criteria.

The store’s Agent Accessibility Score is therefore 75%.

This means that three-quarters of the analyzed offer is ready to be used by AI agents, while the remaining 25% requires technical improvements or data completion.

How Can You Improve Agent Accessibility Score?

To improve the accessibility of its offer for AI agents, an e-commerce store should:

  1. Complete and standardize product data.
  2. Keep product feeds, prices, and stock levels up to date.
  3. Implement relevant structured data.
  4. Remove barriers that prevent systems from accessing pages and resources.
  5. Ensure information remains consistent across all channels.
  6. Provide clear shipping, payment, return, and customer service policies.
  7. Verify whether the cart and checkout are ready for agent-driven processes.

Agent Accessibility Score is a metric used to assess how ready an e-commerce offer is to participate in processes handled by AI agents. It represents the percentage of products that are technically accessible, correctly described, and available for use during product discovery, comparison, recommendation, or purchase.

The higher the Agent Accessibility Score, the greater the share of the product catalog that can be included in AI-driven shopping journeys.
