Google announces that from June 2024, low-activity keywords in Google Ads will be automatically paused. This applies to words that were created more than 13 months ago and have not received any impressions during the last 13 months (even if they were getting displays earlier).
What does this mean for you?
The change is aimed at simplifying the account structure by getting rid of keywords that don’t produce any results and focusing on those with visible effects.
Still, the final choice will be yours – if you decide that a keyword should be back in your account, you can bring it back yourself. However, it will be paused again if it does not get any impressions within the next 3 months.
