PPC Weekly News Review – #2 March 2024

On some Google accounts at the campaign level, it has been observed that there is a limitation in excluding more than 124 country locations. Excluded locations exceeding this limit in already active campaigns will not be removed. The limitation applies only to newly added locations.

What does this mean for you?
If not all undesired locations are excluded and “presence or interest” is selected in the location options, there is a possibility of displaying, clicks (etc.) from places outside the list of those selected.
Starting from the United States, Google is implementing changes aimed at combating spam and potential fraud related to identity theft. Initially, this will primarily affect advertised legal services.

What does this mean for you?
If your advertised business falls into the categories specified by Google, you should prepare for increased verification from their end. Instructions regarding the required actions should be sent to you via email from Google. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in the discontinuation of your ad display.
A new option has emerged enabling the presentation of products in 3D format, but currently, it is only available in the United States. This functionality will allow potential customers to “place” a specific product into their space and see how it may look in their environment.
