Google Ads has a feature for excluding placements in the Google Display Network (GDN). This allows for even more precise optimization of advertising efforts.
Placement targeting is one of the options for targeting ads in the Google Display Network (GDN). Choosing this option allows ads to be displayed in selected apps or their categories, channels and videos on YouTube, as well as on selected websites.
To exclude placements, you need to go to your Google Ads account and follow these steps:
Tools > Content suitability > Excluded placements
To exclude websites, YouTube channels, videos, or apps, you can enter the exact URL or use the “Browse” option to find exclusion suggestions. Alternatively, you can exclude all app categories with a single click by entering mobileappcategory::69500 in the appropriate field.
