As of January 18, 2022, the Yoast SEO app is available for Shopify. This plugin was so far only available for WordPress, but from now on, users of Shopify can benefit from it too. Entering a new platform is a huge step forward for Yoast and it brings a lot of new opportunities for business owners.

Yoast SEO Launches Keyword Tracking Tool
The new app available for Shopify is not everything that Yoast prepared for 2022. With the 17.9 update, WordPress users can now track keyword performance, thanks to Yoast’s partnership with Wincher. It helps track relevant keywords and their positions over time, which is very important from the SEO point of view. It allows seeing how pages are performing in correlation with specific keywords, making it easier to track the overall progress of SEO activities.
With the free version, only five keywords for an entire site (one keyword per page) can be tracked, which is not impressive, but it allows users to try out a new feature. With Yoast SEO Premium, it is possible to track from 500 – 10 000 keywords, depending on the chosen plan.
To switch on the new feature, simply go to the general Yoast SEO settings in WordPress and enable the Wincher integration. From now on, it will be available to you under the Track SEO performance tab. After connecting it to your website, you can easily track keyword performance relevant to the specific page.
Within the same update, Yoast SEO introduced a new language for WordPress. Japanese is now the 20th language that Yoast SEO is supporting. That means it recognizes Japanese and can give feedback on content created in this language, including readability analysis.
