Alexa Rank (also known as Alexa Traffic Rank) is the main measure provided by Alexa Internet. Most of all, its job is to estimate the popularity of a given website. To calculate this value, the system takes into account a frequency of visits to a particular website and its display in 3 months’ time by users that have Alexa Traffic Rank or Alexa Toolbar extension installed.

A website is being analyzed based on display and visit ration compared to other websites. This indicator should be as low as possible – the lower the indicator the bigger popularity of a given website.
