Snippet is a page description or its excerpt which is displayed in Google search results. Its basic form includes title and meta description.

Rich snippet, however, displays additional data which is why it takes up more space on the search results page, thanks to which it is more eye-catching, attracts the user’s attention and increases organic traffic and CTR. It may contain data such as:

  • price,
  • reviews,
  • star ratings,
  • product availability.

In order to display a rich snippet, it is essential that the page has correctly implemented structured data tags.
