Bold tag

What is Bold Tag? – Definition

Bold tag (<b>) is the HTML element that enables text formatting. This tag defines bold text on a given page without giving any additional importance to the indicated content (as opposed to the <strong> tag ). The bold tag is mainly used to highlight a given piece of content visually, however, it is ignored by Google crawlers.

Bold Tag in Practice

When creating content, we want it to be clear and legible. This is particularly important in the case of long-form content, e.g. blog articles, in which we want users to pay special attention to particular keywords or product names.  By inserting the <b> tag in the content, you can make sure that your text is properly formatted and clear to users.
