The anti-spam update is intended to improve the effectiveness of the anti-spam response that community members have reported to Google in their reports. It mainly concerns languages such as Turkish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Hindi, and Chinese.
The goal is to reduce the visibility of spam in search results, especially in the case of dangerous spam (i.e., related to masking, phishing, hacking) and in the case of automatic generation or copying of content. The update was rolled out gradually since October 5 and was completed on October 20.
Google’s Duy Nguyen suggests that websites that notice changes after the anti-spam update review the spam policies accessible on Google’s help page. For more information, you can visit the Google Search Spam Updates page and the support page. To put it simply, if your site’s visibility decreases after this update, there’s a good chance that your content or links have been marked as spam by Google—take a close look at them.
