February was relatively quiet in terms of SEO news. We’re still living through the recaps and summaries of the previous year, getting ready for the new, and waiting for what March will bring! 🍃

Bard Becomes Gemini

On February 8, 2024, Bard became Gemini.

It’s available in a web version (http://gemini.google.com) and a mobile one (a new app in Google Play and App Store).

Its implementation began on February 8 in the US and a week later worldwide.

Google also introduced Gemini Advanced, the most advanced Gemini model (Ultra 1.0). The company also adds that Gemini is more than a SOTA model but rather an entire ecosystem that you will see in all products and APIs.

New Digital Report 2024

The new Digital Report 2024, a true favorite of marketers, was also released in February. You’ll find information on various countries there, including the US.

What’s up on Facebook?

What About Disavow?

In response to a post by a Reddit user, Google’s John Muller said that you cannot recover positions by using the disavow tool. This is not officially stated anywhere in Google’s guidelines, but it’s worth keeping in mind that this seemingly useful tool may not help you as much as you’d expect.
