Link Exchange

What is Link Exchange? – Definition

Link exchange is a platform that provides paid access to hundreds or thousands of websites (usually of very low quality), from which you can quickly obtain a large number of backlinks leading to a given site. By registering, you gain access to the exchange HTML code, which displays banner ads from other websites that are members of this link exchange system.

Currently, using link exchange systems is very risky as Google may impose penalties on the linked site. The most popular link exchange systems are Statlink and LinkTak.

What Are the Types of Link Exchange Systems?

  • dynamic link exchange – links are distributed randomly, and after some days they exchange pages connected to the system,
  • static link exchange – links are permanently assigned to a particular page until they are removed, e.g., until you stop paying for the service.
